MagnetBuy merchant setup guide
For MagnetBuy 0.6.55 · 25 October 2026 · Sim Digital Labs Ltd
Install and prepare
Use MagnetBuy-0.6.55-Install.zip, the theme installation
package. Keep a backup of your existing theme and start with an
unpublished copy. The package contains theme files; products,
collections, menus, uploaded media, apps, payment and shipping
configuration must be prepared in your store separately.
Open the unpublished theme in the theme editor. Set your brand colors, fonts, logo, favicon and social links. Choose the header menu and footer links, then replace sample images, text and product selections. Check each image crop on mobile and desktop, and add meaningful image descriptions. Save only to the intended draft while preparing your store.
Start with the home page, one collection and one product. Select real products in section settings. Check variant selection, availability, quantity, cart and checkout information before adding optional modules. Leave the preview search collection setting empty for normal store search.
Choose a starting configuration
| Store | Suggested modules | Information to prepare |
|---|---|---|
| Accessories | Product finder, suitability, comparison, Complete the setup | Supported models, consistent specifications and genuine accessory relationships |
| Wallpaper and wall stickers | Product photos, surface guidance, area calculator, application QR | Coverage per pack, waste allowance, installation instructions and supplies |
| Personalized gifts | Personalization, preview, confirmation, gift wrapping | Production limits, color choices, artwork background, instructions and wrapping product |
| Repeat orders | Quick order | A curated list of simple products that need no extra input |
These are setup suggestions. Enable the modules your customers need and remove unused sections.
Pages and product templates
The package includes page.finder, page.qr
and page.quick-order templates. Create a store page, assign
the corresponding template when available, then add the page to your
menu. A template file alone does not create a page or menu entry. Check
draft-template availability before changing any live theme.
Products using the same template share its static settings. For different product instructions, create separate templates or use a dynamic source supported by the field. Custom data definitions are not created automatically.
Configure the modules
Product finder
Add the Product finder section or use the finder page. Configure up to three questions and 24 product blocks. For each block choose a real product, matching answers and an explanation. Keep answer spelling consistent. Duplicate selections are combined into one result, unanswered questions are skipped, and hiding unavailable products is optional. The finder matches your configured rules; it does not search your entire catalog automatically.
Suitability and comparison
In product information, enter supported models, suitable and unsuitable uses, and a help link. Compatibility comes from your descriptions, so review it for each product and variant. Empty suitability content is hidden.
Customers can compare up to three products of the same product type. Use consistent specification labels and units. Comparison uses information saved in the browser; the product page is the reference for current variant and price details. A missing specification does not establish compatibility.
Complete the setup
Enable the section and configure up to 20 relationship rules. Choose source and recommended products, the product-view or cart trigger, relationship type, reason and compatibility conditions. Explain necessary adapters and exceptions. Review suggestions with the source product both present and absent from the cart. Recommendations do not make an additional purchase compulsory at checkout.
Area calculator
Add the measurement block to product information and enter coverage in square metres per pack. Customers enter dimensions in centimetres or metres, a surface count and waste allowance. The allowance range is 0–30%, with a default of 10%. The calculator rounds the required pack count upward.
For example, a 2 m × 3 m surface, one surface, 10% waste and 5 m² per pack gives 6.6 m² including waste and recommends two packs. Check your actual coverage before publishing. The result does not change cart quantity or price. Pattern repeats, cut planning, door/window deductions and custom-size pricing require separate handling. Avoid one fixed coverage value when variants have different coverage.
Personalization
Enable personalization in the product section. Configure the text requirement and length, preview background, text position, size, colors, seller instructions, optional note and confirmation. Preview the longest allowed text and every color against your actual background.
The preview is a visual aid, not a production file, and does not
accept customer file uploads. The cart uses these stable order-property
names: Personalization, Ink color,
Personalization note,
Personalization confirmed. Keep them unchanged in
fulfillment workflows. Express purchase is hidden when personalization
is enabled. Required inputs are checked in the storefront; review any
alternate purchase paths before relying on them for production
requirements.
QR tools
Set the permanent destination URL in section settings. The editor test input does not save a new destination. Use the final HTTPS address and download SVG or PNG for your design, or use the print control. Visitor controls are off by default.
Scan a physical sample on more than one phone before printing a batch. Check the final printed size and contrast. A printed code keeps its original destination even after a theme setting changes; manage redirects separately if the destination may move. Relative links use the current domain. QR tools do not provide photo/video hosting or an upload service.
Quick order
Choose up to 24 products. Customers can search the configured list by title. Direct single-row add is off by default. Enable it only for simple default-variant products needing no additional input. Products with options, gift cards or required selling plans lead to product details. Check app fields and personalization requirements yourself. This is not a batch-order or wholesale pricing engine.
Gift wrapping and cart reminder
In the cart template, select a real gift-wrapping product and configure its threshold and message option. The selected product supplies the actual price; the gift note, up to 500 characters, belongs to its cart line. Check inventory, tax and shipping settings for that product. Customers manage wrapping quantity or removal as an ordinary cart line.
The Header group Cart reminder is off by default. Enable it and choose a delay from 0–60 seconds; the default is 10. It shows the cart count and link, hides on the cart page, and remembers dismissal for that tab session. It does not send email, SMS or push reminders.
Preorders and promotions
Use accurate delivery terms for preorder text. The label depends on tracked stock at or below zero and a continue-selling policy; the theme does not configure that policy. Configure real discounts separately in the store. A promotional countdown needs an end date with a time zone and does not create a discount or stock notification service.
Slideshow motion
Automatic rotation is off by default. If enabled, it starts paused when the visitor prefers reduced motion. Turning that preference on while the page is open pauses rotation too. Turning it off does not restart rotation automatically; the visitor can choose Play. Previous, next and slide selection remain available. Review keyboard focus and the controls with your actual slide content.
Languages, apps and checkout
Theme dictionaries include English, Turkish, German, Spanish, French and Italian. Merchant-entered text, product descriptions, menus and app content need their own translations. Review complete pages in every language you enable, including singular/plural messages and mobile layouts.
Subscription selection, B2B rules and app blocks need the relevant store configuration or app. Verify them using the actual integration before offering them to customers. Theme settings do not create subscription plans, payment services, loyalty accounts or wholesale price lists.
Before publishing
Check mobile and desktop navigation, search and filter clearing, variants, unavailable products, cart quantities and removal, personalization values, gift wrapping, QR destinations and every policy/contact link. Test the published languages and actual installed apps. Complete your store's checkout and fulfillment checks using an approved test process.
Measure performance with your real images and apps. Check keyboard navigation, focus visibility, text contrast, screen reader announcements and physical mobile devices. Review the saved draft before choosing to publish it.
To disable a module, remove or hide its section/block or switch off its enable setting. Manage related pages and menu links separately. Disabling a module does not erase historical order properties, existing gift-wrapping cart lines or printed QR codes.
