Theme documentation
A smarter setup.
A clear start.
Avroniq · Development version 0.1.0
Sim Digital Labs Ltd · 11 October 2026
Avroniq has not yet been approved or published in the Shopify Theme Store.
1. Install and start
Use Avroniq-0.1.0-Install.zip when installing in a new merchant store. Upload the ZIP directly as a theme; do not upload the outer Development archive. Open the theme editor and configure the draft before publishing. The package contains theme files, not products, collections, navigation menus or store policies. Select your own collections, product images and menus in the editor.
Avroniq-0.1.0-Demo-Install.zip is reserved for the Sim Digital Labs shared test shop. It depends on that shop's resources and should not be used by merchants.
2. Brand settings
Under Theme settings, set Colors and branding, Typography and Social media. Choose foreground and background colors together and check their contrast on buttons, cards and the footer. Use the font pickers for body and heading fonts. Upload the shop logo in the Header section. Without a logo, the shop name is shown. Test long shop names and navigation on mobile as well as desktop.
3. Navigation
Select the shop's main navigation in Header > Menu. The clean install selects main-menu. Create nested links in Shopify navigation to populate the desktop mega menu and expandable mobile navigation. Keep collection links connected to real collections. Configure optional menu promotion blocks with your own images and destinations. Set the announcement and optional utility link, and choose whether the header should remain sticky while scrolling.
4. Build the home page
Hero: choose an image, heading, supporting text, button label and destination. The optional demo image can be replaced or turned off. Put headlines and buttons in the editor fields so customers can read and activate them. Category grid: add category blocks, choose collections and images, and set short headings. Featured collection: select a collection and product count. Promo grid: configure each promotion's heading, rich text and link. Use the editor to add, move, hide or remove sections. Review desktop and mobile previews before saving.
5. Editorial sections
Slideshow uses slide blocks with separate text, imagery and buttons. Configure autoplay and its interval; customers can use the controls to navigate or pause. Image hotspots pairs an image with product hotspot blocks. Select real products and position the hotspots, then check touch and keyboard interactions. Before/after uses two images and an initial slider position; use comparable image framing. Lookbook combines an editorial image with text and a link. Featured product displays the product selected in that section's settings. Custom Liquid is available for merchant-authored Liquid content.
6. Product pages
Assign the standard product template to ordinary products. Add and reorder product information blocks in the editor. Technical specification rows must describe the actual product. Do not reuse the invented demo specifications. Configure product accordions, inventory visibility, the low-stock threshold, pickup availability, accelerated checkout and the sticky purchase control. Pickup information depends on Shopify's location and pickup configuration. Inventory messages depend on the product's tracked inventory and availability. Media can include product images, Shopify-hosted video and supported 3D models. Check variant selection, availability and the correct price after every change.
For gift card products, the purchase form includes an optional recipient checkbox. When selected, enter the recipient email; a name and a message are optional. Names are limited to 255 characters and messages to 200. Leave the send date empty for immediate delivery after checkout, or choose a date within the next 90 days. Use Add to cart for this flow: gift card recipient validation does not support accelerated product checkout. Changing a product option preserves the entered recipient details. Shopify processes the delivery after the order; this development guide does not claim that end-to-end delivery testing is complete.
When the store includes tax in product prices, the price block displays the taxes-included notice automatically. This follows Shopify’s tax configuration.
7. Discovery and shopping
Collection filtering uses filters available through Shopify's store setup. Products must have the data needed for the chosen filters. Sorting and pagination operate on the collection. Product cards offer Quick view and Compare. Comparison supports up to three products of a matching product type; set meaningful product types in Shopify for sensible comparison groups. Related or complementary recommendations use Shopify's recommendation data when the optional shared-demo catalog setting is empty. Recently viewed uses browser storage. It excludes the current product and can be empty on a first visit or when the browser prevents storage.
8. Search and the optional shared-demo catalog
For a normal merchant store, leave Theme settings > Preview catalog > Search collection empty. This uses standard Shopify search, filters and pagination. The setting is intended for a shared development shop containing several themes' demo products. Choosing a collection limits the theme's predictive search, search results and recommendation display to that collection; it also filters recently viewed products by collection membership. In shared-demo mode, the collection list shows the selected demo collection, the empty-cart browse link opens that collection, and the all-products entry uses the selected collection. Category menus remain separately configurable. This demonstration mode searches up to 50 collection products using the words in the customer's query. It does not offer native search filters or pagination. Use ordinary search words rather than Shopify's advanced search syntax. It does not make other products private or remove them from the shop: direct product URLs and unrelated store integrations can still access published items. The Sim Digital Labs Avroniq demo uses the avroniq-demo tag and its own category collections. Do not hide other themes' products to set up this demo.
9. Cart and checkout
Test adding the selected variant, changing quantity, removing an item and opening the cart page. Inventory errors are shown when a requested quantity cannot be supplied. Cart notes and discounts are displayed where available. Payment methods, shipping rates, tax and checkout settings are managed by Shopify and the merchant's providers. Verify checkout in the appropriate test mode before launching the store.
10. Content and footer
Create pages in Shopify and assign the contact or FAQ template where needed. Configure FAQ questions in section blocks. Set store policies in Shopify and review the footer policy links. Configure footer newsletter text, localization, payment icons and Follow on Shop where supported by the shop. The newsletter popup is disabled by default; enable and configure it only when suitable. The theme includes English, German, French, Italian and Spanish interface translations. Product descriptions and other merchant content require their own translations in Shopify. Language and country choices depend on the shop's published languages and market configuration.
11. Updates and troubleshooting
Duplicate the current theme before editing theme code. Keep a record of custom changes and review them after installing an update. Compare product, collection, search and cart behavior in desktop and mobile previews before publishing. Empty featured collection: choose a collection containing available products. Missing menu: select an existing navigation menu in Header > Menu. No recent products: visit another product page; browser storage must be allowed. Unexpected demo search results: check Search collection membership; leave the setting empty for standard merchant search. Incorrect specifications: edit the assigned product template's specification blocks; demo content is invented and not a source of product facts. No pickup availability: check the product, inventory location and pickup setup. Missing translated product copy: publish the language and translate store data.
12. Support
Theme bug fixes and questions about built-in configuration are supported. Custom design work, custom code, external app integrations and store operations are separate services.
Use our support form with your theme version, shop URL, affected page and steps to reproduce. You can write in English or Turkish. Do not send passwords, API tokens, payment details or customer records.
We do not require a customization budget for theme support. No fixed response-time promise is made for this development release.
Getting started
Upload the standard Install ZIP as a draft theme for a new store. Choose your own products, collections, menu and images. Leave Preview catalog empty in a normal store; this setting separates demo products in the shared test store.
The Demo-Install package is only for the Sim Digital Labs test store. The theme has not yet received Shopify Theme Store sales approval. You can complete the support form in English or Turkish.
